Yesterday we were able to go see Thomas the Train & Bob the Builder at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, N.C. I went when I was a kid with my Momma & her family, but I didn't remember much! Thanks to Kwanza aka Baz, we knew about Thomas & Bob coming.
When I woke up, it was still dark & I was wondering if the sun was going to show its pretty face...by the time we got there, the sun was peeking out!
There were so many neat activities for the kids. First, we started off by visiting the bathroom. =]
As soon as the kids saw Thomas they both let out a bone chilling scream that made my ears ring! Now that is excitement. I love seeing them so excited!
After our potty break, we visited the Gift Shop so we could get our maps stamped. There were 4 places we had to visit to get stamps on our map & when we got all 4 stamps, the kids got a 3D poster & 3D glasses!
Our next mission was to meet Sir Topham Hat. Caden was a little wary at first, but then he warmed up when he saw his Sissy hug Sir T.H. =]
After meeting Sir Topham Hat, we went around just looking at things & then it was time for the ride on Thomas the Train!!!!
Caden was a bit frightened to lean his head out the window!~You can tell by his expression.
The train ride was over & then it was time to stand in line (again) & take a picture with Thomas!!
We took some time to visit the gift shop and other parts of the museum.
Well, we knew they were slow but didn't think they needed a sign! =]
We entered the area where a magic show was going to start & then found out that Bob the Builder was doing his show right after! How convenient!
Caden was so excited to see Bob, he just wanted to hug him, not pose for the camera!

After all the activities we decided it was time for a cool down. So we got the kids ice cream from the gift shop & they went to town!
The last activity we did was the Pied Piper of Percussion. This man had all kinds of drums, bells & maracas, tambourines, shakers, etc. & put on a great show for all of us. Not only did he do a great job, but he had the kids involved as well! The kids got to use tambourines, maracas & bongo drums!

We stopped by Hendrix BBQ just down the road on our way home.
They were so worn out, but it was all worth it for a full day of fun and memories that will last forever.
